Students can raise funds for tuition and upkeep through the EduFund community of donors. Here is how a fundraiser works from start to finish.
Set up your fundraiser
Complete your fundraiser information, including your compelling story, admission letter and the amount you are raising. EduFund reviews your application and updates your fundraiser status.
Raise funds
Your campaign goes live and EduFund shares it with our community of donors. The fundraiser performs better when you share your campaign with your own community.
Disbursement & reporting
For transparency, tuition funds are sent directly to your university, while upkeep funds are sent to your bank account — ensuring funds are used as intended.

Transparent fund disbursement
Funding disbursement commences after the student verification process is complete: applications are received, followed by verification of documents, student status and need for funding.
Your contribution makes a difference
Individuals and institutions passionate about inclusive education and the future of Africa can donate to the fund through the EduFund platform. 200 to 2,000 people donating $50 each annually can put one student through university every year — and one trained talent can impact 1,000 lives in Africa.
The people behind EduFund
EduFund is led by a team of educators, entrepreneurs and advocates committed to widening access to education across Africa and the diaspora.
Tosin Adebisi
A seasoned edupreneur currently leading the Programme for African Leadership (PfAL) at the London School of Economics. With over 15 years in higher education, he previously served as Senior International Lead at the University of Sussex and was named among The PIE’s ‘Top 50 Voices of International Education in Europe’ in 2023.
Mercy Gilbert
An entrepreneur, philanthropist and advocate for empowerment within Africa and the African diaspora. Founder of Gilbert Media Group and BABFORUM, she was honoured with the International Woman of the Year award at the 11th Onyx Media Awards in 2023 and collaborates with top UK universities to provide scholarships.
Francis Omoroije
A professional in entrepreneurship, venture capital and business development, currently Managing Partner at Ennovate Ventures. He focuses on fostering talent and digital-skills development among youth in Africa and is a passionate advocate for African investment opportunities.
Dr. Olubunmi Ifeolu Oluronbi
A medical doctor and policy professional based in London, committed to empowering Africa in healthcare and education. She holds an MD from Kharkiv National Medical University and is pursuing an MSc in Global Health Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
